01. Basic knowledge of LED light strip
1、 Difference between LED soft light strip and hard light strip:
LED soft light strip: the flexible FPC is used as the assembly circuit board, which can be bent, folded and wound at will.
Advantages: The shape can be curved and curved, and various patterns can be combined at will. Suitable for irregular places and narrow spaces.
Disadvantages: Compared with hard light strip, it is inconvenient to install, and it is easy to fall off if the installation is not good.
LED hard light strip: PCB is used as the assembly circuit board, and can not be bent at will.
Advantages: It is easy to fix and install;
Disadvantages: It can not be bent at will and is suitable for regular places.
2、 Luminous principle of LED soft light strip:
LED soft light strip is used to weld LED lamp beads on the strip flexible circuit board. The LED lamp bead emits light at an angle of 120 degrees. And the distance between the lamp beads is about 10 mm, and the arrangement is relatively dense. It feels like a band of light.
III Classification of LED soft light strip:
There is no model for light strip. But the luminous LED beads will be different. 3528 light strip and 5050 light strip are commonly used.
3528 light strip: indicating the length and width of the LED lamp bead are 3.5mm and 2.8mm respectively. 3528 light strip Each lamp bead has an LED chip.
5050 lamp strip: it indicates that the length and width of LED lamp beads are 5.0mm and 5.0mm respectively. Each lamp bead of 5050 lamp strip has three LED chips.
Difference: The lamp beads of 5050 lamp band are larger than those of 3528. The power and brightness of 5050 lamp belt with the same number of lamp beads are three times that of 3528.
IV Size of LED soft light strip.
Type 3528 LED soft light strip: general width 8mm, thickness 4mm.
Type 5050 LED soft light strip: generally 10 mm wide and 4 mm thick.
The length can be cut or spliced as required.
02. Selection of LED soft light strip
1、 Power of LED soft light strip:
It is mainly related to the number of LED beads per meter of the light strip. The number of beads of Model 5050 is three times that of Model 3528, calculated per meter.
2、 Voltage of LED soft light strip:
Outdoor, people may touch it to avoid safety risks. 12V low-voltage light strip is selected in the pool.
12V or 24V low-voltage light strips shall be selected for landscape walls, steps, flower beds, etc.
III Waterproof grade of LED soft light strip:
The outdoor waterproof grade is above IP65, and the waterproof grade in the pool is IP68.
4、 Color of LED light strip:
The luminous color of the LED light strip includes red, yellow, blue, green, normal white, warm white and other monochromatic lights, as well as colorful changes. Generally, 3000K warm white light prevails, creating a warm atmosphere.
03. Installation of LED light strip
LED light strip, no light in sight, no main light design. In the early stage, the installation slot shall be reserved (the size of the installation slot and the influence of the position of the light strip on the effect shall be written separately in the future) to hide the light strip.
1、 Indoor installation:
The back of the LED light strip is pasted with self-adhesive 3M double-sided adhesive tape. During installation, the sticker on the surface of the 3M double-sided adhesive tape can be directly removed, and then the light strip is fixed at the place where it needs to be installed and pressed flat by hand.
2、 Outdoor installation:
Outdoor installation will be exposed to wind and rain. If 3M glue is used for fixing, the 3M adhesive will be reduced for a long time, which will cause the LED light strip to fall off. Therefore, buckle fixing is often used for outdoor installation.
